"Advances in the Care of
Older Adults," held April 6-8, 2004, at the Crowne Plaza Medical Center
Hotel in Houston, Texas, was the 25th Professional Development
Institute of the Texas Consortium of Geriatric Education Centers since its
inception in 1985. Over 100 physicians, PA's, nurse practitioners, social
workers, rehabilitation specialists, long-term care administrators, and other
health professionals from throughout Texas attended this program emphasizing the
promotion of independent physical and mental function of persons as they age.

Transportation and Parking:
Transportation to the conference site is on your own. Parking facilities are
available at the hotel and in the surrounding areas for a fee. Prepare to pay
approximately $10 a day. Car pools are encouraged.
Overnight Accommodations:
Conference participants are responsible for making and paying for their own
overnight accommodations. The Crowne Plaza conference site has rooms blocked at
$109 (USD) plus taxes for this event, so mention the conference when calling to
make a room reservation.
