A. Didactic course work:

  1. B. Curriculum development work:

  1. The Center for Allied Health Professions was established in August 1971. As the founding director, Dr. Roush coordinated the curriculum development, including external programmatic accreditation for the following list of current and former BCM programs from 1971-1989:

  2. 1983, Dr. Roush developed and became the founding Instructor of Record for Introduction to Research Methods (BCM #051-403), a course he taught until 1989.

  3. From 1989 to present, Dr. Roush has served as the coordinator and convener of Gerontology Continuing Medical Education (N=80 courses for 13,527 clock hours attended by 3,468 persons) sponsored by TCGEC and Section of Geriatrics, Department of Medicine; and 18 TCGEC statewide Professional Development Institutes and consortium-sponsored programs attended by 35,252 persons, 1985- 1999. He also developed and conducts a microteaching laboratory for Medicine Residents and Geriatrics Fellows designed to improve their teaching skills.

  4. Dr. Roush also coordinates the annual Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology Course, which completed its 26th year in the fall '99, and which has been taken by almost 2900 persons. On June 9, 1999, he convened the 40th Quarterly Faculty Development CME program totaling 1105 attendees since 1989 for Section of Geriatrics,, Department of Medicine, and HVAMC Geriatrics and Extended Care Service faculty and staff.

C. Non-didactic teaching while at BCM
