ARTS IN AGING CALENDAR

The Huffington Center on Aging salutes the "Arts in Aging" as a complement to a good life long lived.  We are interested in the works of older artists. This year our artists range in age from 72 to 86; their works come from experiences in Canada, Holland, Russia, and the United States. More importantly, they are still painting, still providing us with enjoyment.  The scenes they painted depict life in North America and in Europe, and the eclectic look of the calendar is indicative of the wonderful differences in people worldwide. As exhibitors in our fourth calendar of the 21st century, these artists, born in the first part of the last century, remind us that older people are important contributors to the quality of our lives. And given their places of residence around the globe, we are reminded that Goethe said "Science and Art belong to the whole world, and the barriers of nationality vanish before them."
